Merry Christmas Eve!

Salut, tout le monde! C'est Noël! Well, tomorrow it is.

Today, I took some portraits in front of the Christmas tree. I am wearing this really cozy and fluffy sweater and a skirt, which is new. I love the holidays, it's my favorite time of the year! In Monaco, it was one of the few times of the year I saw both of my parents together, in one place, at home, for more than a day or so. They're usually so busy; the only time of the year they have off is Christmastime. Now that I'm in les Êtats-Unis, or The U.S, I haven't seen them in a few years. But, now it's nice to just live with my friends, study, relax, and eat during the holidays.

Here are my portraits, if you'd like to see them;

What do you usually do during the holiday season? Do you visit relatives? Stay home?

Moi et Mes Amis!

Bonsoir, tout le monde!

I wanted to introduce you to mes amis, or my friends. In America, I have a lot more friends in just a few years than I managed to pull together in a decade and a few years in Monaco. I suppose I just can relate to my American friends a bit better. Without further ado; here are a few of my very good American friends!

Here is my good friend Ava. She's very funny! She has a lot of weird jokes that never fail to make me laugh. She loves frilly and flirty dresses and skirts, but in really dark purples and blacks.  She has a really dark personality and sense of humor, which is pretty different from mine. Opposites attract!

Here I am with another gooad friend; Marisol! She's a totally cool dancer and current captain of the cheer squad. Around here, cheer is the really big thing. I'm not much of a cheerleader, though, so I like to play volleyball. Anyways, Marisol is one of my very first American friends. She's a little older than most of us, so it's pretty cool that she approached me first.  On my first day of class here, I was terrified to even talk! But, Marisol made me feel a lot more comfortable by talking to me. She introduced me to all of her friends, and basically everyone in my classes. I still cherish her friendship.

Another photo of us, because Marisol is in my dorm and watching me write this. She insisted on me posting both. She's currently rolling her eyes, mon Dieu!

And last but not least, my girl Rena! She was also one of my very first American friends. She's actually from Russia with her twin brother, Keanu. She's been here with her Aunt and Uncle since she was a little girl, though, so she doesn't remember nearly anything about Russia. She's taught me a few words of Russian since I've been here, but I don't want to attempt to write any out; the Russian language is NOT easy! Anyways, Rena is a very sweet and sensitive girl. She's a model and an artist. We actually draw a lot, it's lots of fun. She wants to be a fashion designer when she leaves PVA.

And that's about it! I actually have quite a few more friends I'd like to talk about, but I didn't get the chance to take photos with them before I wrote this post out. Marisol wants us to go down to the Chinese restaurant now, so it's time to sign off.  I've been so much better about updating already! Two posts in the past week or so, yaaay! I plan to update about this much or a bit more per week. I have a lot of exciting things I'm planning to do soon, so I will have more stuff to update you next time.

A bientôt,

My Biggest Adventure - Self Discovery

Woo, it has certainly been a little while, hasn't it? Almost an entire year of no posts! It's been quite an interesting year for me. I will try to deliver this information as rationally as I can; I have quite a bit to share.

As a whole, I feel this year has been quite a transitional year. Finally settling into myself has been very calming and has kept my mind at peace. Over the years, I've had several (seveeeerrrralll) different personalities/looks/ideals/nationalities. I even tried out a different name for a little while, that didn't stick at all. I am excited to present to you all the true me, the one I set out to find several years back upon moving to the U.S. to study.

My name is Violet Boudreau, I'm 16 years old, and I'm from Monte-Carlo, Monaco. My parents are very famous; my father is an author with a few hit books under his belt that have accompanying films, and my mother is a song-writer that writes for many American, French, and Italian pop stars. My entire life has been rather privileged and glamorous; flying around the world attending various premieres and events with my parents, being in the shadow at all times. I became good friends with Madonna's daughter, Lourdes, as we have similar problems of being in the shadow of the spotlight that is on our parents. Growing up living in the rich tiny little "country" Monaco has definitely shaped a bit of my ideals and who I do not to be. Many of my neighbors back in Monaco are multi-millionaires with several foreign cars and boats, with snobby and uptight personalities to match. I was able to find a small group of friends throughout school that weren't total snobs, and we still keep in contact to this day. As my life continued, I got increasingly tired of the glamour my life entailed. One late night, I decided to enroll myself into Peaceful Valley Academy, an American prestigious school with people from around the world. I got my acceptance letter the week after and fled Monaco without a word to start my American life. In America, I found many, many, many  more friends. I started blogging. I found many internet friends. I started to form who I was.

Today, I love many different things. I enjoy studying plants and growing them in my little dorm, I love candy and chocolate (which, btw, is really good in the campus candy shop!). I also really like makeup, but mostly stuff for my eyebrows because I'm obsessive over them. I love 90s clothes. I'm a huge fan of American pop culture and American music, thanks to my mom. I'm also really interested in ancient Greece and Egypt, but who isnt, hehe. I'm attempting to learn how to play piano, mostly because I really want to learn how to read music.

Anyways, here is the new and improved me. I plan to start recording my life regularly (please hold me to it this time. Lord I am SO bad at this.) I hate leaving without some photos, so here is how I look today at this very moment. Being 100% me, 100% original me.

Lots of love,
      -Violet
