Merry Christmas Eve!

Salut, tout le monde! C'est Noël! Well, tomorrow it is.

Today, I took some portraits in front of the Christmas tree. I am wearing this really cozy and fluffy sweater and a skirt, which is new. I love the holidays, it's my favorite time of the year! In Monaco, it was one of the few times of the year I saw both of my parents together, in one place, at home, for more than a day or so. They're usually so busy; the only time of the year they have off is Christmastime. Now that I'm in les Êtats-Unis, or The U.S, I haven't seen them in a few years. But, now it's nice to just live with my friends, study, relax, and eat during the holidays.

Here are my portraits, if you'd like to see them;

What do you usually do during the holiday season? Do you visit relatives? Stay home?

Moi et Mes Amis!

Bonsoir, tout le monde!

I wanted to introduce you to mes amis, or my friends. In America, I have a lot more friends in just a few years than I managed to pull together in a decade and a few years in Monaco. I suppose I just can relate to my American friends a bit better. Without further ado; here are a few of my very good American friends!

Here is my good friend Ava. She's very funny! She has a lot of weird jokes that never fail to make me laugh. She loves frilly and flirty dresses and skirts, but in really dark purples and blacks.  She has a really dark personality and sense of humor, which is pretty different from mine. Opposites attract!

Here I am with another gooad friend; Marisol! She's a totally cool dancer and current captain of the cheer squad. Around here, cheer is the really big thing. I'm not much of a cheerleader, though, so I like to play volleyball. Anyways, Marisol is one of my very first American friends. She's a little older than most of us, so it's pretty cool that she approached me first.  On my first day of class here, I was terrified to even talk! But, Marisol made me feel a lot more comfortable by talking to me. She introduced me to all of her friends, and basically everyone in my classes. I still cherish her friendship.

Another photo of us, because Marisol is in my dorm and watching me write this. She insisted on me posting both. She's currently rolling her eyes, mon Dieu!

And last but not least, my girl Rena! She was also one of my very first American friends. She's actually from Russia with her twin brother, Keanu. She's been here with her Aunt and Uncle since she was a little girl, though, so she doesn't remember nearly anything about Russia. She's taught me a few words of Russian since I've been here, but I don't want to attempt to write any out; the Russian language is NOT easy! Anyways, Rena is a very sweet and sensitive girl. She's a model and an artist. We actually draw a lot, it's lots of fun. She wants to be a fashion designer when she leaves PVA.

And that's about it! I actually have quite a few more friends I'd like to talk about, but I didn't get the chance to take photos with them before I wrote this post out. Marisol wants us to go down to the Chinese restaurant now, so it's time to sign off.  I've been so much better about updating already! Two posts in the past week or so, yaaay! I plan to update about this much or a bit more per week. I have a lot of exciting things I'm planning to do soon, so I will have more stuff to update you next time.

A bientôt,

My Biggest Adventure - Self Discovery

Woo, it has certainly been a little while, hasn't it? Almost an entire year of no posts! It's been quite an interesting year for me. I will try to deliver this information as rationally as I can; I have quite a bit to share.

As a whole, I feel this year has been quite a transitional year. Finally settling into myself has been very calming and has kept my mind at peace. Over the years, I've had several (seveeeerrrralll) different personalities/looks/ideals/nationalities. I even tried out a different name for a little while, that didn't stick at all. I am excited to present to you all the true me, the one I set out to find several years back upon moving to the U.S. to study.

My name is Violet Boudreau, I'm 16 years old, and I'm from Monte-Carlo, Monaco. My parents are very famous; my father is an author with a few hit books under his belt that have accompanying films, and my mother is a song-writer that writes for many American, French, and Italian pop stars. My entire life has been rather privileged and glamorous; flying around the world attending various premieres and events with my parents, being in the shadow at all times. I became good friends with Madonna's daughter, Lourdes, as we have similar problems of being in the shadow of the spotlight that is on our parents. Growing up living in the rich tiny little "country" Monaco has definitely shaped a bit of my ideals and who I do not to be. Many of my neighbors back in Monaco are multi-millionaires with several foreign cars and boats, with snobby and uptight personalities to match. I was able to find a small group of friends throughout school that weren't total snobs, and we still keep in contact to this day. As my life continued, I got increasingly tired of the glamour my life entailed. One late night, I decided to enroll myself into Peaceful Valley Academy, an American prestigious school with people from around the world. I got my acceptance letter the week after and fled Monaco without a word to start my American life. In America, I found many, many, many  more friends. I started blogging. I found many internet friends. I started to form who I was.

Today, I love many different things. I enjoy studying plants and growing them in my little dorm, I love candy and chocolate (which, btw, is really good in the campus candy shop!). I also really like makeup, but mostly stuff for my eyebrows because I'm obsessive over them. I love 90s clothes. I'm a huge fan of American pop culture and American music, thanks to my mom. I'm also really interested in ancient Greece and Egypt, but who isnt, hehe. I'm attempting to learn how to play piano, mostly because I really want to learn how to read music.

Anyways, here is the new and improved me. I plan to start recording my life regularly (please hold me to it this time. Lord I am SO bad at this.) I hate leaving without some photos, so here is how I look today at this very moment. Being 100% me, 100% original me.

Lots of love,

Santa!

Even though I'm 13, I love the spirit of Christmas! I'm so excited for Christmas to arrive, I've been counting down since November came around. I wanted to update you all since I've been inactive (yet again!) for the entire month!

I wish I could show you my Christmas ensemble, but my Mom's camera is kind of broken so I can't show you! :(

If you want to, you can track Santa here, he takes off in 5 hours!

Merry Christmas!

It's Been Awhile...

Hello, lovely readers! I haven't blogged here in almost a year, wow! I sincerely apologize, things haven't been necessarily too busy, but I haven't really had a very exciting year to blog about.  I plan to blog more from here on, but no promises!  I'm in the process of moving,  so I'm very busy trying to get all my stuff back together.  I hope to travel a bit more soon, I literally haven't gotten out of the house since last year, so...

I guess I should update you on some events that happened over the past year so you are all caught up, I'll just list them since I'm lazy:

  • I've been moving around since the doll room has been a disaster this entire year, basically, and I'm finally in the process of getting a more permanent place.
  • A lot of new girls have moved in, and a lot of girls have moved out, so I have a lot of new friends I need to introduce you to.
  • You might have followed Aurora on her blog, and yes, we are really good friends now!
  • Tabby is probably going to be my roommate, so she'll be guest posting here sometimes.
That's about it for this year, so far atleast.

New Design & Updates

 Violet here!

So, my most sincere apologizes for not blogging in SO LONG! Do I have any readers left out there?
I finally got around to posting, I was quite busy as this semester is coming to a close, I had exams to take!

Let's start off with my blog! I finally updated everything on it, I made a new header, updated all the profiles and changed my theme and background. So far I really like how it turned out and I feel very refreshed after doing this, I had my last theme for awhile! I do enjoy changing and updating my blog every once in awhile.
I do intend to blog more frequently, but no promises! I'm really bad at remembering to update every week or so, some of my friends seem so good at it!

Next, let's move on to updates and news. I had a pretty quiet summer, since I have off of school, I went back home and visited with my parents, which I enjoyed. I also hung out with my cousin a lot, if you didn't know, my cousin is named Celine and she was mentioned in my Easter post many months ago. We look identical and get along great. Her parents (My Aunt and Uncle) are divorced, so I don't get to see her as often as I'd like as my aunt lives in France, and my uncle lives in Canada, so Celine travels back and forth rather often.
My school year began in September, and I have enjoyed this year so far. Nothing too exciting to say about it as of now, I'll tell you if anything exciting happens!

As I said, I will be updating more frequently as this year comes to a close, which sounds CRAZY because it seems like just yesterday that my best friend Lacey showed up unexpectedly with a plane ticket back to Alberta, which if you didn't know, happened in January. If you were wondering where Lacey is, well she left campus in June and went back to Canada. This school year she is living and studying in Italy! She is so lucky!

Goodbye for now! {And a photo of me taken recently, since I don't like just text posts, I HAVE to add a photo!}

Guest Post By Marion!

Bonsoir, all! My name is Marion, and I'm doing a guest post on my good friend Violet's blog!

Anyway, as I said above, my name is Marion. I have 13 going on 14 years old, and my birthday is May 16th. My full name is Marion Silvia Cheremisinova, I'm part French (born in Strasbourg, France) part German, and part Russian. My mother is from France - Strasbourg just as I was! My father was born in Germany but as a young child moved to Moscow, Russia. He then came to France as a teenager for a business opportunity that wasn't available in Russia. This is where my mother and father met, and eventually married. When they got married my father had gathered enough money to send his mother father, sister brother and grandparents to live in a small apartment in France with him. I was born 5 years later, on a crisp spring morning in 1994.  My parents both got the job at a travel magazine to be travel writers - what they both have always dreamed of.  When I was 5, we set off to Sweden for my parents to review hotels, cafes, restaurants in Stockholm. I was lucky enough to go with them. The travel magazine company was elated with the article they had written, and sent them to Pisa, Italy to do the same. Eventually after a few more travels, they had become very well known writers and the magazine had grown immensely since they had started there. At this time,  they got their own section of the magazine. I was in it a lot, they often used me as a model of certain popular tourist attractions. By my 12th birthday, my parents decided I needed a more stable life, so they found PeacefulValley School Of Art. They told me about this, and I was so excited! I would finally be able to express myself in drama as I had always wanted to do. The school sent over a test forum, and I passed. I packed my bags that night, and bid a very sad farewell to my beloved parents. I left for America the next day. When I arrived, the students seemed excited to see a new student, apparently they haven't had a person from another country come for a long while.

At first I had trouble finding friends since my English was pretty lousy, but then I discovered a group of French speakers who actually understood what I had been trying to say. That group was consisted of Violet, Asia, Regina, and Victoria. Now Lacey, who is Violet's best friend joined the group since I had arrived. They really, really helped me grasp English and I swear they taught me more then the school's English program did. This group accepted me as I am, and I'm very proud to consider them some of my very best friends.

One day, Violet mentioned that she had a blog. I got really excited about this, and she told me that I could guest post whenever I wanted to! Finally, today I decided to post!

Recently, my teachers recommended I set up a Facebook page to further expand my English skills and meet some new online friends. I have since set one up. You can "like" me (American web designers sure are *creative*) at: My page!

Now I'm sure you are wondering what I look like, non?

Yes, that is moi. Marion Silvia!
Tell me if you enjoyed this post and if you'd like me to guest post again!
